About digital tech 2019

The ScotlandIS Digital Technology Awards 2019 showcase excellence within the industry rewarding the innovation, expertise and ambition of businesses large and small – and the people who drive them.

Running for nine years, these are the must-have awards in the Scottish digital industry. We shine a spotlight on the world-leading work and remarkable innovation happening in Scotland right now.

Past winners include Arnold Clark, RBS, Skyscanner, Urban Tide, Mind of My Own, HotDocs, Digitonic and many more.

Raise your profile
Shine the spotlight on your achievements, get some recognition for all that hard work and make the world sit up and take notice of your brand.
Increase your credibility
The number and quality of entries we receive proves that our fair nation has bags of talent. Endorsement from a hand picked panel of household names is something that money can’t buy.
Right fit for you
Categories cover a whole rainbow of digital technologies, from emerging companies to large established players, B2B and B2C, Public Sector and Financial Services – it’s all here and you will fit right in somewhere (trust us!)
The awards are a chance to make new contacts, hear new ideas, be inspired and to catch up and connect with friends, clients and acquaintances from across the sector.

Open to all Scottish based companies.

Can be entered by any company who have developed a product/service that can be viewed as innovative or disruptive. We are looking to recognise the very best achievements in harnessing the power of digital to secure a clear market success. Your product/service will be either sold B2B or B2C.

Judges are looking for an exciting, far-reaching technology-based method/type/style of innovation that disrupts the financial services sector. Show how your business has provided solutions that fundamentally improve customer service and/or business performance.

Judges are looking for evidence of how innovative technology solutions have been used to revolutionise and streamline delivery of essential public services to their end-users. Demonstrate how your company has provided the best solution to a public sector challenge

Identifying and maximising skills can galvanise action and can accelerate growth. Education, training and upskilling are fundamental to this approach. We are looking for the inspirational, practical and effective education and training solutions which have made this happen.

For this award, we want to recognise a creative initiative or new product launched in the last two years that has broken boundaries and increased market size. Has this revolutionised the market in some way, pushed the limits of insurability or overcome technical challenges?

This award is to recognise teams or individuals who have used Data to innovate and transform their business, their client relationships or the services and products they deliver to market.

Helping to grow a technology company takes ambition, vision, market insight and spades of hard work. Your company culture is a reflection of you and what your organisation stands for, it’s the voice of your business and employee satisfaction is key. This category will recognise the company who has best defined a common language, values and standards, placed employee wellness at their core, has great communication and have a leader who is the company’s strongest advocate. We are looking to find the person who has the proven leadership skills to inspire their team and the dogged determination to grow their business even when the going gets tough.

We will be looking for the agency which has brought genuine flair and imagination to their client’s brief. The judges will be looking for original thinking, impressive execution and – above all – clear results from a project or commission

Our top awards will go to the businesses that most impress the judges with their commercial and financial success. The business will be demonstrably well-managed, produce outstanding technology products or services – and above all has outstanding long-term growth potential.

EMERGING - Companies less than 4 years old and less than 10 staff

SMALL-MEDIUM -Companies with less than 100 staff

As such, ScotlandIS will be looking to work with winning organisations to publicise the work that you do and to promote it as an example of good practice. For example, this may involve featuring your work in our good practice publications or training, featuring you in Awards press releases or inviting you to speak at our events. We will be flexible in our approach to this and will explore ways to promote your work if you are successful in winning an award.

You should also be aware that we may use information or images supplied as part of your entry for our publicity material. By entering the awards, you are agreeing to this.
